East Rutherford Public Schools are committed to the achievement of individual academic excellence through establishing high expectations, high quality teaching, learning and community involvement. Our goal is to develop students who are well prepared to meet their future educational challenges and to contribute to society.
Recognizing the needs of students, the East Rutherford School community strives to teach pupils how to learn effectively and attempt to motivate them to be lifelong learners. Students are encouraged to understand themselves, accept their worth and strive to reach their potential.
We continue to offer programs beyond the core courses mandated by the state such as half day pre-kindergarten and full day kindergarten, a technology program and art, as well as, vocal and instrumental music. Please note also that the state supports about 8% of our budget with the rest coming from your local taxes.
Your comments and suggestions are welcome as we continue to refine the manner in which information is provided to you and we work towards building better bridges of communication in maintaining an excellent educational atmosphere for the children of East Rutherford.
