Mrs. Regina Barrale

A.S. Faust School Principal

Dear Families,

Welcome to Alfred S. Faust Middle School, where we are dedicated to making learning both engaging and enjoyable! I feel incredibly fortunate to be the Principal of a school filled with such wonderful children, a motivated and dedicated staff, and parents who collaborate with us to create a dynamic learning environment.

Allow me to share a bit about myself: Education is not just my career but my passion. I have had the pleasure of working in East Rutherford since 2002. I started as a Health and Physical Education teacher and grew into the position of a Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction and then the Principal in September 2014. My background, which includes Master's degrees in Educational Leadership and Special Education, has prepared me to effectively support our students, faculty, and staff. I am committed to fostering a positive and enriching learning environment and nurturing a culture of respect and self-confidence where every student feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential.

As a mother of two children, I deeply understand the significance of staying engaged in your child’s educational journey.  I firmly believe parent involvement is paramount, and I wholeheartedly encourage you to be proactive in their education. Together, we can ensure that their academic progress remains a top priority, setting them up for their future success.

Our faculty and staff are committed to providing a rewarding educational experience, ensuring that learning is enjoyable for every student. We look forward to partnering with you to make your child's education a positive and successful journey.

The Alfred S. Faust Middle School curriculum is aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS), promoting career readiness and 21st-century learning skills. To ensure that students achieve the objectives set by our rigorous curricula, our teachers continue to implement research-based strategies to enhance student achievement through the integration of the 4 C’s: Collaboration, Creativity, Communication, and Critical Thinking. We believe that these initiatives provide a strong foundation for exceptional learning.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. Please know that my door is always open if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions. I am excited for the year ahead and look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education.

Warmest regards,
Mrs. Regina Barrale
